The Heart of Agile
In 2017, 1st Conference became the first event in the Southern Hemisphere to be structured around Alistair Cockburn's Heart of Agile framework. For Be1st Adelaide, we will continue to use the pillars of the Heart of Agile, "Collaborate, Deliver, Reflect and Improve", as a reference point.
Supporting diversity.
We as organisers, support diversity in tech and we commit to enhance the diversity of speakers and workshop facilitators. At our 2017 and Feb 2018 events, the majority of presenters and facilitators were female. As well as gender diversity, we want to keep reflecting the community that we serve and include more diverse people in our lineup.

Tonsley
1st Conference is proud to be supported by Flinders University and happy to be at Tonsley. We appreciate the support of Flinders University staff management for their help in the lead up to Be1st Adelaide.
Tonsley is Australia’s first innovation district. It is a project that is intrinsic to the State’s economic development as it transitions to a high value industrial base that is underpinned by innovation and collaboration. The vision was to create an operating environment — a precinct — that would assist SA businesses in their move up the value chain and into global markets.
